140' Delusha (ex-Aphrodite II)
Designed for a repeat client and nominated for the 1999 International Superyacht Design Award, Aphrodite II is a long-range cruising sloop built by Vitters. Some 140 feet overall, she has a deck saloon and, to the best of our knowledge, was the first superyacht to combine bluewater sailing and sports fishing capabilities. The facilities for the latter include an open transom with fighting chair, outriggers, tackle galore and live bait storage in the aft lazarette. This magnificent yacht broke new ground in other ways too. She was designed with a winged keel, a controllable pitch propeller, pushbutton control sails and tender storage forward and aft. Sound-proofed accommodation for eight guests and six crew members completes the picture.
